Idag lyssnar jag på The MFAs nya låt ”Throw It Back (We Will Destroy You)” med tillhörande remixer. Släpptes i måndags på Border Community Recordings och hörs förslagsvis genom Spotify. Bilden föreställer en halva av The MFA live på Sonar 2006, av jgcamil.

simple mens tuba

Miljövänliga kläder är bra kläder. Igår snubblade jag in på Simples webshop för ekologiska, organiska skor – samt accessoarer – gjorda av återvunnet material. Det här är väl egentligen inte nytt på något vis, men jag förundrades av butikens estetik och användarvänlighet. Modellen ovan heter ”Men’s Tuba” och besitter bland annat följande attribut;

  • The Men’s Organic Cotton Tuba is a vegan shoe! No animal byproducts or even regular animal products
  • Men’s certified organic cotton sneaker. Organic cotton comes from non-genetically modified seeds and is grown without the use of pesticides and herbicides
  • The heel and toecap are made of recycled inner tubes we saved from a dump
  • Recycled PET Laces. PET is made of recycled soda bottles

Personligen blev jag mycket imponerad av företaget och funderar starkt på att beställa ett par skor. Kika in i butiken du också!

Prövar att skriva på svenska.

Jag visste ju sedan tidigare att Nils Frahm och Peter Broderick kan göra fantastiska saker tillsammans och idag hittade jag Peters Not At Home-EP på Spotify. And It’s Alright (Nils Frahm Remix), kan ni tänka er? Frahm förvandlar And It’s Alright, ett av Homes finaste spår, till en bubblande, sprakande och helt makalös IDM-historia. Det här är bland det finaste jag hört i år. Kanske någonsin. Alla tiders.

Øye & Glambek Bø

It struck me today that it’d been fun to hear mr. Øye on Röyksopp’s ”Junior” as well (I absolutely adore his ”Melody A.M.” guest-singing), instead of – or rather together with – some of the sweet female voices on the record. I can’t complain about the singers actually featured, but it’s been a while since we heard the white-panty Norwegian in a more electronically-oriented way. And I guess we’ll have to wait a bit more now that he’s released the new album ”Declaration of Dependence” with his mate Eirik Glambek Bø in Kings of Convenience. That, however, is nothing to be sad about since the new album is lovely. Listen to Me In You at Spotify instead and grow happy in the autumn sun.
